On The Scene- Utter Intuition & Carnegie PR Presents F*CK Cancer Event

Utter IntuAs we all “should” know, the month of October represents Breast Cancer Awareness. Cancer is the second most common cause of death in the United States besides HIV. I’m sure this alarming disease has unfortunately affected us all in someway or another- whether it was by a family member, friend, or associate.

According to the American Cancer society about 1,660, 290 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed and an estimated 580,350,000 are predetermined to die this year alone from the disease.

Last night (10/2) Carnegie PR and event management company Utter Intuition joined forces in bringing about “The Crusade Against Cancer” a.k.a “F*CK Cancer” fundraising event Part 2.

Katherine Reyes and Hazel Veras (CEO’s of Utter Intuition) both have mother’s whose been affected by the disease. Sadly, Reyes’s mom is living with a rare form of cancer that there is currently no cure for and Veras’s mom is a cancer survivor.

The fundraiser was held at Julisa’s Bar & Lounge in Harlem, hosted by rapper Lil Cease who lost both his sisters and dad to cancer in the past year.

Nevertheless the industry mixed event was filled with positive vibes and great energy as everyone came out to celebrate life and to make donations towards finding a cure for cancer. Media attendees were Mocca Styles & Romeo (Empire State of Grind Radio), Bree (Next Up Radio & and Popparotz TV to name a few.

“AMBITIOUS” That’s the best way to describe Brooklyn native newcomer to the scene ‘Bree’.

A graduate of Long Island University- Brooklyn, she obtains a degree in English.

From the tender age of 5, Bree has always enjoyed the pleasures of writing. She would write about anything from short stories to poems and more. Writing always came natural to her, as it was her escape for self-expression.
